Weddings and Baptisms

Weddings at St Cuthbert’s Church

St Cuthbert’s is a special place to celebrate the union of marriage and to receive gods blessing as you continue on life’s journey together.

The Church of England has published an excellent guide to help with the planning of your ceremony and to answer the many questions that you may have about being married within a church.  This can be downloaded at  www.yourchurchwedding.org.uk

Couples who have had their legal marriage ceremony elsewhere may wish to have a blessing in Church.

If you are interested in holding your special day at St Cuthbert’s in the first instance please call Stephanie at the Parish Office on 0151 526 2292 (Mon – Wed 9am – 1pm) or on stthomassteph@btinternet.com . She will discuss dates with you and make arrangements for you to meet The Rector.

Baptisms

Baptism, often known as Christening, is a Christian Tradition that gives us the opportunity to thank God for his gift of life and to welcome a child into Gods family. Parents and Godparents are key in the baptism of a child as they will make the baptismal promises on their behalf.

You can be baptised at any age and adult baptism is a public declaration of faith and belief and the making of promises.

If you would like to discuss the possibility of baptism at St Cuthberts please contact Stephanie in the parish office on 0151 526 2292 or stthomassteph@btinternet.com . She will discuss dates with you and make an appointment for you to see The Rector.
